When a terrible script, awful acting, and an illogical plot meet, they can create something truly spectacular. This movie is a masterclass in all things that can go horribly wrong in the Horror movie genre. It’s also proof of why a single half-decent idea can spawn some of the worst knock-offs. Here is the Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid Movie Review.  This should help you in your decision to never have to endure this for yourself.

The entire character development is painfully weak. Well, that’s if you ignore the ongoing sexual tension between two characters with no back stories explained. It’s like different characters have a quick cameo every other scene and the writers forgot what happened by their next line. The blonde girl has this accent which alternates between very strong and non-existent. Meanwhile, one of the ambiguous male boat riders tries his luck at seducing everything that moves. To break the tension, a monkey (deserving of an Oscar for its performance) eats a fruit and we are reintroduced to the main character of the movie: a gigantic snake.

The premise of this movie is an old, rich white man decides to delegate responsibility to a team of corporate worker bees to capture a flower to reverse the aging process. Naturally, the team of corporate elites ride in a rapidly decaying boat across the jungle during monsoon season. While in search of the flower, they find trouble when a waterfall emerges from the fog and sinks their boat. This proves to be the highlight of the movie.

While walking through the swamp, the team is menaced by a snake who ultimately consumes one of their own. This detail is unfortunately lost on the majority of the crew as they want to continue on their path for a flower. Watching a monstrous snake devour one of their friends is nothing compared to the idea of obtaining a flower. They continue on their journey and learn how baby snakes are made via the snake equivalent of Tinder. Things seem to be looking up for the group until one of them proves to be more of a snake than the anacondas. You’ll see.
