This one came recommended from a coworker who, instead of actually reading any of my articles, blindly suggests topics with no way of knowing whether I ever act on their suggestions. I guess that’s still a form of flattery? Anyways, here’s the Hush Movie Review for your eyes only. Or you can share with anyone you like.

If you are a keen observer like I am, you will notice a hilarious moment within the first 2 minutes of the movie. The protagonist, which is just a fancy way of saying the first character you see in the movie who isn’t killed off within 15 minutes, is very much deaf. So riddle me this: Why does she have a text message from a friend urging her to call a guy who has a crush on her? Ignoring that, there are a few technological and story-line goofs I could point out…but this is a website about Fears, not about movie plot-holes which would otherwise destroy the integrity of any given film.

I will say as far as creative movie plots go, this one is both as predictable as it is unique. It’s one of those… Saw that coming, saw that coming, saw th- wow that was unexpectedly graphic. You know the ones. Anyways, so the girl is running from the killer who decides breaking a window is too convenient for someone who wields a crossbow in 2016. He delays the inevitable by being overly arrogant while the woman inside her own house starts off completely oblivious to any danger, graduates into clever plotting and completes the transformation into full-on ninja warrior by the time the movie is wrapped into a neat little bow. Like I said, I won’t get into the plot-holes.

So she’s running around, bleeding, stabbing people and trying to feed her cat while this other guy is trying to get her to read his lips while imitating a police officer. Then there’s a scene where she’s talking herself up and then her Spidey-senses tingle. There are about 4 or 5 scenes where you are going to say to yourself “but why wouldn’t she just…” or “what does he know about that window that we don’t?” and that basically summarizes the movie!

All in all, a pretty decent movie given the plethora of less than decent movies out there. I would recommend it but I’m pretty sure I just ruined the entire movie and gave away all the good parts by writing this Hush Movie Review so don’t read this if you wanted to watch the movie yourself. That was a close call!
