Okay not going to lie: this post only exists to bandwagon that random Netflix show about a man who has a farm with tigers and falls in love with a convict or something. I have never seen the show but I know I’m at least close to guessing the plot. There is no need to correct me. People seem to like that show so I’m assuming this post will gain equal popularity. Tigers are also man-eating creatures with razor sharp claws, teeth capable of crushing bones, enjoy kibble, and are able to survive in any global climate. You may even have a tiger in your house right now. A tiger or its cousin, the domesticated house cat. Either way. Fear of Tigers. Let’s get into it!

Earning Your Stripes with Fear of Tigers

Tigers, like any carnivorous animal, enjoy the simple things in life like mauling gazelles or napping in the shade on a hot, summer day. With speeds reaching up to faster than a human, they have the uncanny ability to catch up to their prey after stalking them. Usually found in their natural habitat of forced human captivity, tigers can be taught to do fancy tricks like not killing zoo keepers. It’s fun for the whole family. Much like the breed of fish they are named after, a tiger’s body is covered in stripes. These stripes allow them to camouflage in areas that are also orange and black. Anywhere else, a tiger would stand out immediately which makes them one of natures most vulnerable animals.

A quick Wikipedia search will tell you the tiger species is different than the lion species. The main difference is their lack of a mane (should have worked in a mane pun but it’s too late now). Otherwise, both species are the exact same and are often confused in the wild. Of course, by the time you get close enough to one to confirm whether it’s a lion or a tiger, you’ve already been mauled to death. Hakuna Matata, as they say.

Catch Your Fear of Tigers by the Tail

In order to face your Fear of Tigers, it is strongly recommended you depart for a country rich in tigers so you can meet them face-to-face in the wild. Though I am not a licensed travel agent, I would recommend Siberia for their white tigers. I assume that’s where white tigers originate because of snow. Once there, you can feed them their normal diet which consists of assorted carcass and dried leaves. I am also not a tiger expert so do not follow this advice.
